Hey folks, last stock update of this year and it’s a biggie. First up from Upper Playground we have new designs from Brooklyn based Swiss artist Grotesk and his throw back to old and not so old school hip hop, plus new T’s from Japanese artist Usugrow and his sub-brand Shinganist. Mishka have hit us off with a bunch of Transformer based designs, some long awaited plaid shorts and a new 5-panel New Era. We also debut a new line to the store – King Stampede from the boro of Brooklyn, and new to our online store, Canadian brand Ransom joins us from THE BACK ROOM.

Thanks to all those who came down Saturday for the Acclaim and FreshIn T-Shirt Launch. Particularly those who picked up copies of the mag or T’s. The publishing business is hard yakka, and these guys do awesome work and have done for a hell of a long time now so please grab a copy. 

Also thanks to Alex Cortes for the photos, Alex/PJ & Danny from Acclaim for the bar/clean up help, VB Raw & Slate for the booze and Iantha @ Red Bull for the…..Red Bull funnily enough.

Langley was hot……..stinkin, no breeze, and Big Leeweez thought it was a good idea to rock the unwashed stanky beer towel from last Acclaim party all night.

On a side note, super fun game for folks @ home, first person to email us with how many times the towel appears in all photos and we’ll send one of our inhouse T’s out to.

FRESHIN TEASE

For the first 2 releases from our in-house FreshIn brand, we took two ideas that probably couldn’t be further apart in their creative concept. One a very organic and totally spontaneous process, the other a direct reference to an idea first conceived some two and a half years ago when we opened our HQ. 

These are the first T-Shirts we have released in over five years of business. It’s something that has always been on the cards, but a lot of this industry is timing and we wanted to create something that answered all the W’s. We have tried to create a culture around the store and the people who came by, worked there and just generally liked what we were doing. We dig that it’s hard to find, that people can come past and have a beer and talk smack, that it’s really based on a need to know basis and if you don’t need to know – you ain’t gonna know. It’s not about pumping as much product as you can into an already over saturated market, it’s about finding something special and unique that in these current times, is becoming increasingly harder and harder to do. Which is why, for us, it’s the perfect time to drop our in house range, available only through our website or store.

Both are available for pre-sale now and both T’s plus the Women’s Apples will be available Saturday night at the official T-Shirt launch and Acclaim Issue 18 party.
